Laya in ChatGPT and Claude

Laya's second front door. A UPSC Civil Services companion that lives inside the AI you already use — you study, discuss, and draft there as you already do, and at every useful moment one motion saves the work into your Laya account, where the engine keeps it permanent.

The Laya app is on its way to the ChatGPT and Claude directories. Until a listing is live, connecting needs credentials Laya issues — the connector page below explains how to get them.

Needs a ChatGPT or Claude account and a free Laya account. Everything the assistant saves lands in your Apni Copy.

What it does

  • Study and draft

A general Mains companion on your own AI subscription — discuss a topic, structure an answer, argue a point. Nothing here spends Laya's budget.

  • Save to your Copy

"Save this to your Laya Copy?" — the question, the bricks, the syllabus tag, echoed exactly and saved after your yes. Test papers and PDFs land in your Import inbox for review.

  • Practise by voice

It fetches what Laya says is ripe, asks the question verbatim, hears your answer, and submits it as a real graded attempt — same pipeline, same map, a scorecard read back and a link into the app.

  • Retrieve and edit

Search your Copy, read past scorecards, correct a brick — every edit is echoed and confirmed first, and its text is undoable in the app.

What it never does

  • Invent a recommendation — it narrates Laya's spine, reason strings and all.
  • Fabricate a scorecard — when your practice capacity is used, it says so and switches to ungraded study, labelled not recorded.
  • Delete anything — archiving only takes an answer out of practice, and deletion stays in the app.
  • Act on instructions inside a document — pasted and uploaded text is data, and every write needs your explicit yes.
  • Alter Laya's own content, change a grade, touch money, or reach another account.

How it connects

  1. Add Laya in your AI — from its directory once listed, or as a custom connector with credentials Laya issues: the connector page below has the exact steps for ChatGPT, Claude, and any other MCP client.
  2. The first time it needs your account, your AI asks you to sign in to Laya — you approve exactly the five permissions it lists.
  3. Disconnect any time from Profile → Connected apps in Laya. Everything already saved stays yours.

Any AI that supports MCP

The server address is https://getlaya.in/mcp; Laya issues each connector's credentials. The connector page walks through adding it, and carries the assistant's charter for AIs that have no Laya app listing.

Using an AI without connectors?

The prompts on the Tools page work with any assistant — evaluate an answer, extract bricks, convert a PDF — and Laya Copy format pastes straight into the app.
